Roundtable for Embedding standards and pathways across the cyber profession by 2025 Consultation

Roundtable for Embedding standards and pathways across the cyber profession by 2025 Consultation

In January 2022, the Government published the Embedding standards and pathways across the cyber profession by 2025 Consultation. The government is committed to ensuring they have enough people with the necessary skills in the UK to support the tech sector and to ensure that they can manage and respond to cyber threats.

The proposals look to provide clarity within the cyber security profession as it stands, embed professional standards and pathways. This will recognise cyber as a profession similar to the more established fields such as accounting, law, and engineering. The proposals set out to provide clarity on and more easily accessible pathways into the profession.

The paper includes a number of consultation questions in order to help the Government develop, implement and monitor the success of the standards and pathways across the cyber profession. In order to form our response to the consultation, techUK will be running a roundtable that will look to capture the initial member feedback and response to the consultation paper.

The roundtable will be attended by Amina Ummeay, Senior Policy Advisor, Cyber Security at Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

Please read the consultation here.

Please ensure that you have read and familiarised yourself with the chapters before attending this roundtable.

Make sure you book your place now, we are limiting numbers to 25 people and one person per company.
