On Wednesday 20 April (14:00-16.30) the UK Spectrum Policy Forum will be hosting a hybrid workshop to explore the wireless applications and spectrum above 86 GHz .

'Terhertz' spectrum has recently gained a lot of attention across the globe, showcasing an increasing interest in commercial use of these frequency bands.

Within the ITU,  there are two Resolutions calling for studies, as well as  preliminary agenda items for WRC-27. In CEPT, there are also studies underway , while ETSI  has started its standardisation activities.

This workshop is intended to build awareness of international developments in the framework for spectrum regulation of Terahertz frequency bands.

It will also provide the opportunity for a wide range of stakeholders to exchange views on THz technologies.
