Business development consultancy Intralink to drive tech firms’ expansion in Southeast Asia with acquisition of Orissa International
International business development consultancy Intralink has acquired Orissa International, a market expansion company headquartered in Singapore, enabling it to offer a comprehensive service to tech startups looking to capitalise on the fast-growing markets of Southeast Asia.
This is Intralink’s first acquisition in Southeast Asia and substantially enhances the company’s ability to help companies grow in the region.
Established in 1990 and headquartered in Oxfordshire, Intralink helps companies to secure customers, partners and investors overseas, with a particular focus on supporting tech scaleups.
Orissa International, which has worked in partnership with Intralink for several years, is known for its market expertise, industry networks and 28-year track record of helping more than 3,000 companies from around the world expand across Southeast Asia.
The acquisition is part of Intralink’s growth strategy following the private equity investment the company secured from Mobeus Equity Partners in 2023.
It gives Intralink established teams in the six major Southeast Asian economies – Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines – to complement its existing presence in Northeast Asia, Europe and North America.
This additional expertise enables the consultancy to provide tech companies around the world with the specialist support to obtain customers, partners and investors in these high-growth markets.
While Orissa International will continue operating under its existing name, as part of the Intralink Group, it gains access to Intralink’s 150-strong team in 20 locations across three continents. Orissa’s clients can now tap into opportunities beyond Southeast Asia, while Intralink’s clients get a stronger foothold in the region.
