Call for Submissions: Climate Campaign Week 2024/25 – Technology as an Enabler for Climate Resilience

techUK is pleased to launch its latest Climate Campaign Week, running from 3 February to 7 February 2025.

The focus of this campaign week is Technology as an Enabler for Climate Resilience. From heatwaves and droughts to flooding, extreme weather is placing severe pressures on the UK’s infrastructure.

Throughout the week, we will be coordinating member content across different stages of resilience to demonstrate the leading role that digital technologies will play in delivering a more resilient UK. From large multinational companies through to start-ups, industry and technology is helping to transform the way in which we monitor, respond, adapt and mitigate extreme weather events.

techUK’s climate team is inviting written and recorded submissions from members exploring how technologies can help across the different stages of resilience, and the barriers and opportunities present for those working within these areas. Alongside the role of industry, the aim of this campaign is also to understand how public and private sector can partner to achieve the best outcomes for this country’s infrastructure systems.

We will also be hosting a series of events across each of these stages of resilience, with more information on each session to be announced ahead of time.

The themes for each day of the campaign week will be:

  • Climate preparedness
  • Event response
  • Infrastructure adaptation
  • Climate mitigation
  • Barriers, opportunities and recommendations for the UK

We are looking for:

  • Blogs
  • Video / Vlogs
    • Vlogs of 3 to 6 minutes (example here) or video statements of up to 2 minutes (example here) exploring the topics above

We can also promote reports, webinars or blogs already published on member company websites as part of this campaign.
