Event Round-up: NS&I Rainbow Programme - Digital Transformation Industry Briefing
On Tuesday 20 April 2021 techUK partnered with NS&I (National Savings and Investments) to host the first in a series of strategic industry engagement events to help the organisation meet its changing digital, data, operational and technology requirements.
This session kicked-off with introductions from the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, John Glen MP, and NS&I’s Chief Executive Officer, Ian Ackerley, to offer context on the purpose and mission of the organisation. Attendees were then provided with an overview of its planned programme of change to modernise and transform its IT estate and services in order to deliver the best possible service and proposition to its customers and colleagues – the Rainbow Programme. This included an outline of the programme’s vision, strategy and future services; a run through of its key aims – to reduce operating costs, to be a self-service digital business and to ensure scalability, flexibility and security; and its preferred commercial option for delivery – a multi-supplier model.
The NS&I team then covered the programme’s upcoming procurement packages which include Digital Integration and ServiceOps; Digital Experience and Digital Enablement; Customer Contact and Operations; and Core Banking, Payments and Reporting. And attendees were provided with an overview of the proposed sourcing routes and the indicative procurement timeline, as well as the next steps in order to keep suppliers informed. This includes a follow-up engagement event on Tuesday 18 May which will focus on the first procurement package – Digital Integration and ServiceOps.
The session concluded with a supplier Q&A. Head to the NS&I Rainbow Programme website for answers to the questions asked.
Along with the slides from the presentation, a supplier survey was issued to all registered attendees after the event and NS&I would like all responses to be returned to them by Friday 30 April.
