Frontline Digitisation – second supplier engagement forum with NHS Digital and NHSX

In July 2021, NHS Digital and NHSX introduced the Frontline Digitisation programme via a supplier forum held in partnership with techUK. Following the success of the first event, techUK held another session to continue the conversation, this time looking at the Future EPR Architecture programme and new Digital Aspirant Plus Programme.

On 4 November, we heard from:

  • David Howie, Chief Commercial Officer, NHSX
  • Dermot Ryan, Director of Frontline Digitisation, NHSX,
  • Lee Rickles, Yorkshire & Humber Care Record Programme Director and CIO
  • Anna Hawksley, Assistant Director of Programmes, NHSX
  • Paul Bell, Assistant Director of Programmes, NHSX
  • Minal Patel, Assistant Director of Programmes, NHSX

NHSX lead the session to explain what the Digital Aspirant Plus and Future EPR Architecture programmes are, what they are trying to achieve, ambitions for the supply market and how to get involved. In particular, they provided insight into two Projects within the programme:

  1. The EPR Accelerator project - aimed at the less digitally mature Acute Trusts
  2. The EPR Innovator project - aimed at Community and Mental Health Trusts
