Intelligent Automation DPS Briefing

We recently held a briefing with Crown Commercial Service on Automation Services DPS. Find all we found out below!

What is DPS?

It is an electronic procurement procedure used to develop contracts for goods and services commonly available on the market. Requirements are divided into filters for goods and services.

Why has it been designed?

To build on the success of the current contract with the Cabinet Office for Robotic Process Automation services (RPA), the public sector requires support from private sector business partners. CCS also aims to provide value for money, with increased scalability and responsiveness to offer industry best practice and provide innovative solutions across a diverse range of business needs

How will it work?

Suppliers will be able to get listed on DPS at any point they like whilst its live. CCS stressed to ensure to read the bid pack before applying to ensure you do not miss on any important details and also register for the Supplier Registration Service. Interested suppliers will be assessed based on the selection questionnaire and either appointed or put into the assessing stage to enable the DPS team to undertake further assessments.

What is a scope of Intelligent Automation Services DPS?

The service is currently divided into:

Smart Workflow
Cognitive Agents
Intelligent Automation
Machine Learning
Optical Character Recognition
Natural Language Processing
Robotic Process Automation

When is DPS due to be live?

The OJEU is due to be published in February with DPS scheduled to go live in 2020.

Tips for suppliers

Ask as many questions as you can before applying, read the bid pack and ensure you have cyber essentials and relevant insurances.
