The event allowed SMEs to speak to Prime companies currently providing services into the VAWG/RASSO space, and for large companies to expand the network of SMEs they work with to deliver services. Larger companies praised the innovation of SMEs, stating that it saved hours of market research, and SMEs highlighted that the partnering saves hours of business development.
The session was also attended by numerous important stakeholders from across the Criminal Justice space, including; Matt Whalley, Innovation Manager at the Police Digital Service, and Giles Herdale, Digital Strategic Intent Lead at the National Police Chiefs’ Council VAWG Taskforce, who also provided fascinating insight into the importance of collaboration and innovation in the VAWG/RASSO space. In his update, Giles referred to recent reports, including the one year review of Op Soteria and the VAWG STRA.
