Please ensure you read all of the below information about the techUK Cyber Resilience Committee before submitting a nomination in order to fully understand expectations and responsibilities, as well as the nomination process.

About techUK’s Cyber Resilience Committee

The Cyber Resilience Committee is an elected group of 25 companies in techUK’s membership who work together to oversee the strategic leadership and direction of the Cyber Resilience Programme.

The Committee is techUK’s main conduit for engaging with key government departments that have an interest in cyber resilience and security, both in terms of policy and strategy development but also helping government act as an intelligent client when procuring cyber products and services.

The Committee aims to lead the debate on the various challenges facing the cyber sector, developing thought leadership on key issues including in stimulating innovation, growth both domestically and internationally, product assurance and developing the profession. The Committee also works to ensure that all parts of the UK are represented within the UK cyber sector, both in terms of a diverse workforce and regional representation.

The Committee is techUK’s authoritative voice on cyber resilience and security issues, seeking to bring industry together to agree cross-industry views and perspectives on a wide range of topics – for example, from the developing role of the CISO, the need to address market fragmentation, longstanding skills shortfalls and specific challenges for SME and mid-tier organisations.

There are 25 spaces on this Committee, with one Chair position and one Vice-Chair position available for nomination. You may nominate yourself for a Chair position, with the runner-up of the Chair vote counts automatically being made Vice Chair. All Committee members will hold their positions for a two-year tenure [April 2025 – April 2027] – details on exclusions for vacating your current position or organisation are included in the Terms of Reference. All elected Committee members are required to comply with techUK’s Code of PracticetechUK Values and the Terms of Reference.

Nomination Information

Who can be nominated?

Any techUK member or affiliate member can stand for nomination. Six Committee seats are exclusively reserved for small-medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Only one person per organisation can be nominated for elections, so please ensure that this is managed internally prior to nomination. You can complete a nomination form on behalf of a colleague, however, please ensure they are aware of the nomination and all personal details on the form equate to the individual who wishes to be part of the Committee.
