techUK Financial Services Council - nominations open

Nominations are now open to join the techUK Financial Services Council. 

This is open to all members of the Financial Services Programme. The nomination form can be found here

The techUK Financial Services Council (FSC) will provide strategic direction for all techUK activities related to the Financial Services Programme.  The Financial Services Council will support the Programme in 3 core areas:   

  • Represent techUK’s Financial Services members as the collective voice of technology companies engaging with the financial services sector, engaging with government and relevant regulators, and helping shape major industry developments in the UK 

  • Continue to lead regular engagement with key stakeholders and decisionmakers on the challenges, opportunities and developments facing the UK’s technology sector pertaining to financial services 

  • Enable relevant companies to build relationships with each other, enhancing the industry with their expertise and experience 

The deadline for nomination is 5pm on Wednesday 2 April. Please see below for the Terms of Reference.

The Council is made of up of organisations with the aim of representing the views of the broad sector ecosystem. Both existing Council members and other members are encouraged to nominate themselves.

Meet the team  

James Challinor

James Challinor

Head of Financial Services, techUK

James leads our financial services programme of activity. He works closely with member firms from across the sector to ensure innovation and technology are fully harnessed and embraced by both industry and regulators. 

Prior to joining us James worked at other business organisations including TheCityUK and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) in roles focused on supporting the financial & related professional services eco-system, with a particular focus on financial technology and market infrastructure. 

He holds degrees from King's College London and Oxford Brookes University, and outside of work enjoys socialising, exercising, and travelling to new locations.
