UK SPF Plenary round-up April 2022
Yesterday we held the UK Spectrum Policy Forum April Plenary Meeting.
The event featured a presentation by the European Commission, as well as two sessions relating to key spectrum management and policy issues ahead of WRC-23: 6 GHz and UHF band
The Plenary took place on 28 April online and under Chatham House rule. The session was chaired and moderated by Luigi Ardito, Vice Chair UK SPF Steering Board and Qualcomm.

Keynote presentation: European Commision
The keynote speech was delivered by Kyriakos Baxevanidis, Acting Head of Unit Radio Spectrum Policy Unit, European Commission. He gave an overview of recent spectrum developments in Brusels, including some considerations for the future EU's Radio Spectrum Policy Programme (RSPP).
Session on 6 GHz: GSMA and Wi-Fi Alliance
Ross Bateson, Special Adviser, Government Affairs, GSMA & Alex Roytblat, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, WiFi Alliance gave their view point on the best future regulatory approach for the 6 GHz band.
Session on UHF: GSA & EBU
Ulrich Rehfuess, Low Band global lead, GSA and Elena Puigrefagut, Senior Project Manager, Technology & Innovation, European Broadcasting Union talked about the future of of 470 - 694 MHz in Region 1 , which will be dicussed in the at WRC-23.
Summary of the recent UK SPF workshop on THz spectrum
Simon Pike, Independent Consultant, provided an overview of what was said at UK SPF focused workshop on frequencies above 86 GHz.
