Daniel Clarke

Policy Manager for International Policy and Trade, techUK

Dan joined techUK as a Policy Manager for International Policy and Trade in March 2023.

Before techUK, Dan worked for data and consulting company GlobalData as an analyst of tech and geopolitics. He has also worked in public affairs, political polling, and has written freelance for the New Statesman and Investment Monitor.

Dan has a degree in MSc International Public Policy from University College London, and a BA Geography degree from the University of Sussex.

Outside of work, Dan is a big fan of football, cooking, going to see live music, and reading about international affairs.

Head of Investor Relations and FDI in the UK , Estonian Investment Agency

Maarja is the head of Investor Relations and FDI in the UK for the Estonian Investment Agency, focusing on fostering business relationships between Estonian and British companies as well as promoting foreign direct investment into Estonia. 

She was previously the CEO of Latitude59 - Estonia’s flagship startup and tech conference - and has been active in the Estonian tech ecosystem for more than ten years. 

Justin Nesbitt

Justin Nesbitt is the UK Sales Director at nLighten, with over 30 years of experience in the data centre and communications industry. He has a strong track record of driving innovation and leading successful teams, particularly during his 14 years at Equinix, where he managed the Finance Sector and built strategic relationships with major financial institutions. Known for his forward-thinking approach, Justin is passionate about shaping the future of digital infrastructure and remains an active voice in the tech community.

Ileana Lupsa

Programme Manager, Local Public Services and Nations and Regions, techUK

Ileana Lupsa is the Programme Manager for Local Public Services and Nations and Regions, at techUK.

Ileana studied electronics, telecommunications and IT as an undergraduate, followed by an MSc in engineering and project management at Coventry University.

She refined her programme management expertise through her most recent roles working in the automotive industry.

Ileana is passionate about sustainability and creating a positive impact globally through innovation.

Matt Robinson

Head of Nations and Regions, techUK

Matt is techUK’s Head of Nations and Regions.

Matt is leading techUK’s work with members and stakeholders across the UK to increase the Local Digital Capital across the UK’s nation and regions, build communities and to ensure that digital technology plays a key part the post-COVID-19 levelling-up recovery.

Prior to joining techUK, Matt worked for several national education charities and membership bodies to develop their regional partnerships with schools, academy trusts, local authorities, and other stakeholders. He’s also worked with local authority leaders and other stakeholders to engage communities, work with elected members and improve public services.

He holds a BA in Politics from the University of York and an MA in International Relations from the University of Leeds. Away from work he’s a keen football fan and golfer.

Dan Storer

Chief Investment Officer, West Midlands Growth

Dan Storer is an experienced Director with 22 years of international business experience in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Strong track record of sales leadership, delivering business growth and of developing productive, long lasting business relationships. Dan is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s Business Attraction and Business Growth programmes, Storer brings with him a wealth of experience that will support WMGC’s expanding, internationally focused aims.

Prior to MIDAS, Storer held the position of Sales Director at Rolls Royce Plc – Civil Aerospace, where he led wide-scale campaigns across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Other previously held positions include a range of internationally stationed leadership roles at Anglo-Dutch shipping company Royal P&O Nedlloyd.
