techUK is partnering with Connected North 2022 as it launches in Manchester this April.
Connectivity is key for economic and social prosperity and as such delivering next-generation networks in every corner of the UK is essential. Launched as a sister event to Connected Britain, Connected North will bring together 60 speakers and 500 attendees and will provide an opportunity for the region’s connectivity leaders to come together and explore the most important regional issues around enabling the North’s connected future.

techUK’s Head of Telecoms and Spectrum Policy Sophie James will appear on the panel ‘Digital Infrastructure for Industry Innovation’ on the Smart North stage, Monday 25 April at 15:00. The panel will explore:
- What role will advanced digital infrastructure play in driving employment in key northern industries such as manufacturing
- Discuss digitally enabled transformation projects to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- How digital innovation can deliver net zero targets across Northern industries moving forward
