On Wednesday 10 May (10.30-11.30), techUK is delighted to be hosting the Home Office for a pre-procurement supplier engagement session on N&I Infrastructure Services & Support.

The Home Office wants to replace its current four (4) separate contracts for (a) Hardware, Software Support & Maintenance (b) Intelligent Hands Service (c) Onsite Field Services; and (d) Asset Destruction Service with one (1) single contract.

Please note that the Home Office intends to use Crown Commercial Service Framework Technology Services 3 (Lots 3A and 3B) for this procurement. If you’re on the relevant framework*, make sure to book your place now!

*Suppliers who are not on the framework but have an interest in potentially partnering with a TS3, Lot 3A/3B supplier on this procurement, are also welcome to join the session.

Benefits for the Home Office arising from the intended consolidation of Contracts:

The intended consolidation will result in the Home Office DDaT having to manage one (1) Contract instead of four (4) Contracts.  We anticipate the following benefits that will be derived from the intended consolidation approach:

  • Simplified end-to-end SLAs and standardised response times as to be set out in the ITT;
  • Simplified and faster resolution to new requirements and incidents to reduce hand-off points, so there is a clear end-to-end ownership including site contact list/s. An end-to-end Service for all Home Office UK and Foreign locations to defined Service Levels, including the secure storage and transportation of Assets;
  • A drive towards unit pricing and service catalogue for a variety of activities; for example, £x for a patch lead installation, equipment installs, structured cabling, including applying base configuration to equipment so it can be reached remotely;
  • One-stop shop installations (extended catalogue capabilities) outside of regular BAU activities;
  • Update and maintain the Home Office CMDB for all Assets/Products/Services;
  • Potential of generating savings; optimisation and improved value for money;
  • To support the Home Office with the sustainability agenda;
  • Note: All resources will require the Home Office SC clearance as well as NPPV-3 clearance.

This one-hour supplier engagement session will provide helpful context to suppliers who may wish to participate in responding to our Request for Information (RFI).

Time permitting, there will be a limited opportunity for Q&A. Questions can also be asked after the Supplier Engagement slot via the CCS Jaggaer Portal. Responses to questions will be provided to all members of the relevant Framework Lots via the CCS Jaggaer Portal and techUK.

The RFI document will be issued a few days after this Pre-Procurement Supplier Engagement via the CCS Jaggaer Portal.
