Data is the lifeblood of the digital economy, and financial services are no exception. From open banking to open finance, data sharing between customers, providers, and third parties has the potential to create more personalised, convenient, and competitive offerings for consumers and businesses alike. But how can we ensure that data sharing is done in a secure, transparent, and ethical way that respects the rights and preferences of customers? How can we foster trust and confidence in data sharing among consumers, who may be wary of how their data is used, stored, and protected? And will future regulatory interventions, such as the EU’s Framework for Financial Data Access and UK's Smart Data Bill, change the model for data ownership and use within FS?

Join us for this panel debate with experts from the tech and financial sectors, who will share their views and experiences on how to build consumer confidence in data sharing for financial services. At the end of this session, attendees will:

  • Understand the benefits and challenges of data sharing for consumers and providers alike;

  • Learn about what future trends of data sharing in FS might look like;

  • Hear about the role of technology and innovation in enabling secure and seamless data sharing;

  • Discover ways to educate and empower consumers to make informed choices about their data.
