The Inspire Justice Awards is the UK’s only awards programme dedicated to recognising the achievements of the entire justice system, and now features a total of 13 different award categories following the introduction of the new Educator of the Year, Inspectorate Staff Member of the Year and Rehabilitation Worker of the Year Awards.

The expansion of the Inspire Justice Awards follows a stellar year in 2023, with Police Scotland, HM Prisons and Probation Service and The Clink Charity just some of the names amongst the deserved award winners.

Journalist Clive Myrie will be hosting this year’s awards at the QEII Centre in London on 12 September where senior figures will assemble to celebrate the achievements of the justice sector workforce.

Looking ahead to another successful year, John Rogers, Chief Executive of Skills for Justice, comments:

“The Inspire Justice Awards celebrates and shines a light on the wider justice workforce that helps to keep our criminal justice system running smoothly. We are delighted to be back for another year to celebrate all those who dedicate their careers to protecting our communities.”

Ben Priestley is National Officer for Policing and Probation at sponsors UNISON. He comments:

“The Inspire Justice Awards gives everyone in policing and probation, and those in the communities they serve, a chance to nominate someone special for one of these important awards. UNISON is proud to be involved on behalf of all of our police and probation members.”

People Plus Group – a prison education provider – are sponsors of the third annual Inspire Justice Awards. Their Divisional Managing Director for Justice Emma Yorke adds:

“As an organisation that works proactively across the justice sector, we witness first-hand the hard work, dedication and commitment that happens up and down the country to support the effective delivery of a rehabilitative criminal justice service. The Inspire Justice Awards is a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on those individual heroes who play their part in protecting and educating our communities, supporting victims and educating and resettling offenders, which is why we are thrilled to be partnering with Skills for Justice to sponsor the awards for 2024.”

Supporting the Inspire Justice Awards, HM Courts and Tribunals Service CEO Nick Goodwin said:

“HM Courts and Tribunals Service is delighted to join Skills for Justice and other justice partners in supporting the Inspire Justice Awards again this year. The contribution that colleagues make on a daily basis to keep the justice system running smoothly deserves to be formally recognised, and we’re thrilled to celebrate the exceptional talent and accomplishments of individuals and teams working not only within HM Courts and Tribunals Service, but across the whole justice sector. I’m very much looking forward to meeting the nominees and hearing more about their achievements at Inspire Justice Awards 2024.”

The 2024 Inspire Justice Awards are supported by UNISON, People Plus Group, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, HM Courts and Tribunals Service, SFJ Awards and Policing Insight/Policing TV.
