Mobilise is an event dedicated to bringing the technology sector together with public sector leaders to discuss how we can accelerate transformation of UK transport and its supporting infrastructure.
As the backbone of our country and central to economic growth, it is critical that we ensure that transport is capable of meeting modern demands and powering the economy in a way which is environmentally sustainable. Digital technologies are the bedrock of this transition, enabling network optimisation, improved passenger experiences and driving decarbonisation.
At Mobilise, we will take stock of where we are now, and what needs to happen to enable the improvement of UK transport systems to help drive the Government’s ambition of improved economic growth. Following a turbulent few years, and facing almost constant headwinds internationally, we will discuss the opportunities for quick growth in key areas of the transport sector, and the role of government in supporting this.
The conference will have three main tracks:
Championing innovation in transport - The transport sector makes a vital contribution to the UK but is often sidelined in terms of investment and political priority. We will discuss how the digital sector can play a role in addressing this challenge.
Ensuring that national and local government can support growth - The transport sector can only work at its best if it has the support, guidance, and permitting it needs from local, regional, and national government. With major changes to local government being proposed, we’ll discuss the effect of these changes, and ensure that has an opportunity to benefit from latest innovation in data and AI. We will discuss how we can drive progress in use of applications to create better outcomes for customers, economy and environment.
Delivering transport benefits through major reforms – With major new legislation this year expected on autonomous vehicles, airspace, and rail, these changes will set the direction of many parts of the UK transport system for years to come. We’ll discuss how industry can best make representations to government, what these changes mean, and how the UK’s best transport tech companies can make the most of it.
