The FJCAST project within the Ministry of Defence (MOD) is hosting an industry day where suppliers will have the opportunity to hear the proposed FJCAST service, its scope and high-level requirements including user scenarios. The primary aim of this EME event is to gain an understanding of industry’s suggested approaches to this procurement. This event is the first Early Market Engagement (EME) event prior to a procurement release on the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) in 2025.

About FJCAST

The FJCAST (Future Joint Command and Staff Training) service is to be designed to deliver effective combined collective training exercises for commanders and staff in preparation for contingent operations in accordance with JSP822 Volume 3 and the Defence Exercise Programme (DXP). The service is to facilitate a level of support for development and delivery by including simulation and fusion doctrine as well as multi-domain integration. Primarily encompassing the five areas of operations: Maritime, Land, Air, Space and Cyber. Key deliverables will be Tier 3 & 4 level training exercises, Joint Task Force (JTF), computer assisted (CAX), dynamically scripted, command post exercises (CPXs) for UK Defence within the UK and overseas. Exercises may involve Other Government Departments (OGD)/Non-Government Organisations, Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), NATO, EU or Coalition Partner framework basis, and other International Organisations.

During the EME event supplier representatives will be briefed by the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), programme management and project team providing insight in to the vision of a FJCAST service, requirements and scenarios, the forthcoming commercial process and the project delivery indicative timeline.
