We are delighted to be collaborating with the Grater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) on a roundtable that asks if the digital sector is doing enough to support people, communities and infrastructure across the region.

Greater Manchester is home to 2.8 million people making it one of the most populous and economically significant regions in the country. GMCA has an ambitious strategy for becoming a world-leading digital city-region set out within its Digital Blueprint.  

This roundtable session bring technology companies together with stakeholders in the region to discuss how the digital sector can support GMCA in delivering against its priorities and address questions including:

  • How can GM’s infrastructure, including energy, built environment and transportation, support digital inclusion, ensuring that technology-led transformation benefits local people?
  • How do we use technology to make GM’s public sector systems adaptive to changing behaviours and economic conditions?
  • How can innovation help drive progress again policy objectives such as net zero while balancing inclusion across GM?
  • How can GM leverage data to achieve optimal outcomes for individuals, while also ensuring comprehensive representation of all demographic groups?

The session is being delivered as part of the programme for Interchange 2024; a two day conference that seeks to improve the delivery of integrated and tech-enabled transport infrastructure.
