techUK is hosting a drop-in forum providing members a safe space to discuss the government's recent announcement regarding the abolition of NHS England. This session will gather industry responses to help inform techUK's position, inform future decisions and actions on behalf of our members in the digital health, social care and life sciences sectors.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced plans to abolish NHS England and bring the National Health Service back under direct ministerial control. techUK recognises that this announcement will significantly impact many of our members working within the health, social care, and life sciences sectors.
As the tech industry representative, we are committed to clarifying current plans regarding ongoing digital, data, and technology programmes and understanding the extent to which existing initiatives may be impacted.
We will work closely with the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England throughout the transition period to ensure that digital, data, and technology programmes remain fundamental priorities within the health and care system.
Session Purpose
This forum will provide our members with an opportunity to share concerns and insights about the potential impact on technology providers and contribute to techUK's industry response. Your input will help shape our engagement with government during this transition.
techUK will continue to update members with information regarding this announcement and maintain our role as a partner to Government in championing the benefits of digital, data, and technology in the health, social care, and life sciences sectors.
