techUK Pre-Market Engagement with NHS London Procurement Partnership: Workforce Technology Systems
2pm – 3pm4 September 2024
Online
Join this online pre-market engagement event with the NHS London Procurement Partnership which will focus on Workforce Technology Systems.
This framework is being brought to market through NHS England and the NHS Workforce Alliance to support the NHS Long Term Plan and Digital People Plan by providing a route to market for all software systems and digital solutions in use and in development, to support the management, deployment and development of jobs and staff and associated reporting and analytics. This framework will be open to all NHS trusts and the expectation is it will be endorsed by NHS England as the only means for trusts to procure solutions.
The scale of commercial activity for locally delivered workforce systems is significant, with an annual spend in England of between £65-90 million. The framework will be divided into the following lots:
Lot 1: Workforce Management and Engagement
Lot 2: Workforce Deployment
Lot 3: Education and Training
Lot 4: Workforce Planning and Analytics
Lot 5: Talent Management and Career Development
Each Lot will have sub-lots or categories of specific interest. These currently include:
E-recruitment, employment checks and onboarding
Occupational Health
Case Management, including wellbeing
Wage Advance
Expenses
Rostering
Job Planning
Junior Doctor Module
Scheduling
Temporary Staffing
Learning Management Systems
Appraisal and revalidation
Performance Management
Succession Planning
Clinical Supervision
The NHS will be continuing their premarket engagement until late September, when the ITT pack will be published via Atamis eProcurement Portal. It is expected that the evaluation will take place in December with all notices and debriefs happening throughout January and frameworks signed and returned in February.
NHS LPP are seeking feedback in relation to the following questions:
What are your impressions of the lot structure and is there anything you believe is missing / should be included?
Which standards do you believe would be critical for this Framework to support customers and organisations?
What would stop you bidding for this framework?
What would you want to see to support SME’s bidding?
What concerns you about scale of this framework and its scope?
How do you believe customers currently view the framework landscape?
Do you believe having minimal interoperability standards will support the adoption of best in class systems?
Where have you seen the largest growth over the last 2 years? (i.e. acute care, GP's etc)
Is there a minimum number of users or contract value that would stop you from bidding for a contract?
___________
Please note all attendees will be expected to participate in the session. Attendees will be sent questions in advance and will be invited to share their reflections on these during the meeting.

techUK has launched a Life Sciences workstream, bringing together members actively working in drug discovery, digital therapeutics, data and AI, or those interested in moving into this space. As the Life Sciences sector looks to introduce digital health technologies into its portfolio, techUK are shaping the conversation.
The Interoperability Working Group will work towards achieving the vision set out in NHS England’s 2022 draft standards and interoperability strategy.
The group will aim to encourage the adoption of open standards and fluidity of data whilst recognising the commercial needs of members.
It will also focus on demonstrating the value of interoperability to NHS senior management and improving the abilities of SMEs to implement interoperability standards.
