On Tuesday 22 October from 16:30 - 18:30, join techUK’s CEO Julian David for an exclusive fireside chat with Stuart Bonthrone, CEO of Esri UK. As a part of our techUK talks series, the session will explore how we can use technology to build a better future for the UK’s economy, society and the planet.
Understanding location has never been more important in helping to solve some of the major challenges that we face. From locating wind farms and building new homes to understanding climate change and improving biodiversity, geospatial technology is becoming more widespread.
Esri UK is the UK’s largest GIS (Geographic Information System) technology company.
Stuart has steered the organisation through consistent year-on-year growth, recently doubling revenue and staff numbers. Previous roles include Vice President of Pitney Bowes Europe and Commercial Director for Europe at Chubb Fire and Security and Stuart had his first managing director role aged 29.
The discussion will explore Esri’s work in sustainable digital public services, the company’s growth journey and how it supports SMEs and start-ups looking to grow.
Stuart will also reveal how the company is helping to support the next generation of geospatial tech experts by offering free software and teacher training to every UK school.
Esri UK’s public sector customers span 20+ ministerial bodies and almost 300 local authorities, focused on the digital transformation of public services. In the private sector, recent new users include Vodafone, Heathrow and Domino’s Pizza.
The session will be followed by a networking drinks reception.
