techUK is partnering with the Green Finance Institute (GFI) to run a workshop looking at tech sector adoption of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).

The TNFD is a market-led, global framework that helps businesses identify, assess, manage and report on nature risks and opportunities. The GFI (the TNFD’s UK implementing partner) work with leading UK companies across all sectors helping them work through any questions they have on nature and TNFD. Examples include how others in the market are approaching TNFD, how it links with other reporting requirements e.g. climate/CSRD, and how to build a strong evidence base to support ExCo and Board discussions.

The TNFD UK Consultation Group is keen to hear from techUK members on to what extent nature and TNFD has come up internally, what have been the drivers for considering adoption, whether companies have begun identifying impacts and dependencies, what data sources are being used and what challenges members are facing.

This session is taking place 11-12, 20 March on MS Teams and we are looking for business representatives who are able to be active in contributions on a technical level, and we are keen for firms to attend if they are in-house and are already in the process of adopting TNFD, or at least are significantly understanding of the framework.
