Join us on Monday 3 June from 09:00-13:00 for the next UK SPF Cluster 3 event, where we will explore the latest developments in spectrum sharing through a joint activity with the SAL Forum and the DSIT Spectrum Sandbox programme.
Shared Access Licence Forum
With the support of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), the UK SPF has created a neutral, stakeholder and government Forum and information hub to promote and scale up the usage of shared licences applications and maximise its economic and social value.
Join us for the third in a regular series of annual workshops that aim to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to identify key issues and barriers encountered through use of shared spectrum, including the automation of key processes.
DSIT Spectrum Sandbox: conclusions, next steps, and challenges
This event will highlight progress from the ongoing Sandbox projects, which are trialling innovative approaches to dynamic and efficient spectrum use within Ofcom-licensed test environments. These projects aim to improve spectrum sharing techniques, assess their economic potential, and support more flexible spectrum management frameworks.
The Spectrum Sandbox programme contributes to the UK Government’s Wireless Infrastructure Strategy, Spectrum Statement, and Ofcom’s Spectrum Roadmap. It enables industry and academia to trial new technologies, conduct system-level modelling, gather real-world performance data, and explore the feasibility of shared and hybrid licensing models.
