In this techUK event, we will be bringing together leading voices in UK’s quantum ecosystem to explore what the UK tech sector needs from the newly announced UK Quantum Strategy to make quantum commercialisation a success in the UK.
Through the announcement of a UK National Quantum Strategy in the paper, The Benefits of Brexit: How the UK is taking advantage of leaving the EU, the UK Government have reiterated their commitment to developing a world leading and commercial quantum ecosystem in the UK.
Commercialisation of quantum technologies will require quantum leaders working with the UK tech sector, academia, and UK policy makers to achieve key success on many fronts. The UK tech sector has a part to play in this collective undertaking to bridge the commercialisation gap; supporting early-stage, innovative businesses; making the UK the most attractive place for global quantum talent; and making sure that our research and development institutions support businesses across the UK. Furthermore, as the first use cases enter the UK market, they will be applied alongside other technologies that will require input from the UK tech sector to make commercialisation a success.
As such, techUK will be bringing together leading voices in UK’s quantum ecosystem to explore what the UK tech sector needs from the newly announced UK Quantum Strategy to make quantum commercialisation a success in the UK and ensure the UK remains a world leader in quantum.
